DLE-TEST13 : Confirmation of the Regenerative Acceleration with TWO LOADED REGEN COILS

March 12, 2013 - DLE-TEST13 : Following the successful tests of the RAG v1.4 (Regenerative Acceleration Generator), I have tuned the working point of the 2nd Regen coil so as its time constant (Tc=L/R) is equal to the Tc of the 1st Regen coil. I recall that the 2nd Regen coil is placed so as to cancel the cogging torque produced by the magnetic attraction between the rotor magnets and the cores of the Regen coils. This cogging torque generates a bad magnetic drag effect which consumes power. The RAG v1.4 is a replication of the Thane C. Heins' ReGenX of Potential Difference Inc. Canada.
Below the test setup used for the TEST-DLE13 :
In this test, there is 1 LED BULB (High Power LED SMD type, Light House x21 Leds) connected (via a switch) directly to the 1st Regen coil and a 0.1 Ohm/10W resistor connected (via a switch) to the 2nd Regen coil. The Regenerative Acceleration Effect has already been successfully tested with the Regen coil N°2 loaded with a 0.1 Ohm resistor during the TEST-DLE07.
TESTS RESULTS on the RAG v1.4 :
Now that the 2nd Regen coil is well tuned on its optimal point, the regenerative acceleration effect is present and stronger that when the two Regen coils N°1 and N°2 are sequentially loaded. The most important fact to notice is that THE REGENERATIVE ACCELERATION EFFECT IS CUMULATIVE, the higher the number of loaded Regen Coils connected is, the more the RPM of the RAG increases and the more the input DC current drops (with a constant DC input voltage...). You may observe in the photos below, that, when the Regen coil N°2 is loaded, the RPM speed increases and the input DC current drops and then the Regen coil N°1 is loaded, the RPM increases much more and the current drops much more...
